Relatively Healthy Hooves

Al - Arab/Andalucian - 20 year old: Al has great feet. The top pics shown a slightly overgrown pasture trimmed hoof. The bottom pics show the same hoof after receiving a natural trim for 17 months. Note how the heel is lower and there hoof is much tighter. Also note how much the heel bulbs have relaxed and spread giving the hoof even better support structure in the back of the foot.

Al has great concavity, thick walls and a very healthy sole and with more road riding would almost entirely self-trim.
